Gas metering station (GMS) is designed for interruptible automatic metering of gas flow coming through instrument piping and estimating its qualitative-quantitative formula and heat value.
Measuring methods:
For commercial metering of gas flow natural gas is reduced to standard conditions with the help of a flow computer selected by a customer: Floboss 107, SuperFlow, ERZ 2004, etc. Absolute and differential pressures and gas temperatures are measured by sensors. To meter a qualitative gas composition, GMS is equipped with chromatographs, calorimeters, a dewpoint analyzer for hydrocarbons and water.

Instrument unit
This unit is equipped by online gas chromatographs, hydrocarbon and moisture dew point analyzers together with pressure transmitters of gas low computers.
Automated control system (ACS)
ACS is designed for automatic control and regulating of the gas metering station.
ACS of GMS consists of the following cabinets: fire and gas alarm (F&G), emergency shutdown (ESD), wiring closet (SCS), metering cabinet (Metering), telemetry (RTU) and other additional cabinets and terminal boxes.
FUEL, STARTING AND PULSE GAS TREATMENT UNIT (FSPGTU)
Depending on design assignment GMS can include FSPGTU.
FSPGTU is designed for gas pre-treatment (filtration, flow measuring, drying, reduction and stabilizing of working parameters).
FSPGTU has a one-piece structure; it includes a container and processing equipment (purification, heating, reduction, flow metering skids) that is situated inside.
The unit has two compartments: a technological one with technological equipment and a hydrate formation prevention skid and a boiler room. In this boiler room there are boilers for coolant heating and automatic control systems, power supply, communications, telemechanics, heating and ventilation systems.
Gas purification skid
A gas purification skid is an equipment package for effective gas purification. This skid includes cyclone type dust collectors (CDC) that purify gas from moisture and mechanical impurities up to 10 μm. Additionally, filter-separators can be installed that allow to increase the purification rate of the gas flow to 5 μm. .
In the gas purification unit there is a system for condensate drainage into a condensate collection, storage and discharge tank. Pollution control of the filter-separator and the cyclone type dust collector is monitored by differential pressure sensors.

Modular-packaged electrical power plants (MEPP)
MEPP can be included in a gas metering station (GMS) according to a design assignment.
Modular-packaged electrical power plant (MEPP) are designed to supply electricity generated by gas piston engines or microturbines during gaseous or liquid fuel combustion (in the case of microturbines operating on gaseous and liquid fuels) and providing heat energy (heating, hot water, air conditioning, refrigeration equipment) by utilizing exhaust energy gases of various facilities that are situated far from stationary power networks and the operate in an autonomous mode or that require small electric and thermal power energy.
